With the Cannes Film Festival set to open next month, Kanye West is preparing his debut film for an unveiling at the prestigious cinema event. While the 30-minute film unveil sounds good in theory, sources close to West point out that he has yet to shoot a single frame for the film — a project that he is producing, writing, directing and scoring. Rumored to star fellow emcee Kid Cudi, all signs point to the offering being classified in the “thriller” genre. Known for his last-minute approach for ambitious and often times arduous projects, only time will tell if Kanye finishes it in time for Cannes.

The adidas Originals by Jeremy Scott collection is often characterized by bold and over-the-top aesthetics. The latest in the ongoing collection takes shape with the introduction of a rather downplayed JS Instinct Hi for Spring 2012. Maintaining a classic adidas appeal, the pair is mocked up in mostly pure white leather and juxtaposed with hits of black across the Three Stripes, heel hit and embossed tongue branding. The most notable deviation from the classic inline silhouette is seen with an oversized, padded tongue that is emblazoned with “adidas” when paired. The JS Instinct Hi will be available from Wish ATL on March 3rd for $180.

2000 marked the first super-limited footwear collaboration between Stussy and Nike, when the two streetwear giants co-branded several colorways of the Nike Air Huarache shoe. The collaboration was expectedly a wild success, and would thus become a annual tradition, later following with Nike fan-favorites like the Nike Dunk High, Court Force, Free Trail 5.0, Terminator, All Court Mid and Sky Force 88 Mid, all getting the exclusive Stussy treatment. Thanks to the shoes’ collectability and rapid popularity amongst Stussy fans and sneakerheads around the world, the relationship between Stussy and Nike has evolved into something even greater — now providing a unique platform for Nike to introduce new colors, fabrics, while updating older models and testing fresh designs in the sneaker market. Check out each the full history on each unique shoe HERE. Now in its twelfth iteration, the most current Stussy x Nike shoe features the rare Nike Sky Force 88 Mid style, and is available in solid Black, Khaki, or in two hues of Stussy’s signature camoflauge. Check your local Stussy Chapter Store for availability.
Having developed noticeably close ties with the GOOD Music camp, Los Angeles-based photographer Steven Taylor offers us a glimpse into some of the recent studio sessions between Common, Big Sean, Teyana Taylor, Cyhi The Prince, Omarion and famed music producer Hit Boy. The pictorial captures the synergy of the expectedly creative environment with an element of cohesiveness that is often reflected in the sounds of the Kanye West-founded music collective. Setting a pensive tone, the decidedly monochromatic images feature the various artists chopping it up with one another in between conceptualizing and curating what is likely to be an impressive full length album. Photos from their session is right below!
