Where do you get your design inspiration? I would have to say music inspires my designs. I would throw on a couple tracks and write down a couple ideas, basing off the lyrics, collab them together, and come up with a design.
What is the most difficult part of running your own label i.e. design, production, sales, finance, advertising? To me, there isn't a most difficult part. I say that because everything is a challenge. Coming up with a design that people would like isn't easy. You may like it, but some people won't. Production, sales, finance, all of that is a challenge as well. We all out here starving. Money goes into everything when it comes to a line. You dish out more then you get back, but the success makes up for it all.
What one piece of advice would you give to someone wanting to start their own brand? "Remind yourself, nobody is built like you. You design yourself.'" My oldhead Hov said that. Thats what keeps me motivated.
who are some designers that you look up to? My top designers would be Bob and Ben of The Hundreds, and Taz Arnold. Those three dudes are the illest for real.
who are some people you'd like to collab with? I would love to collab with Bob and Ben of The Hundreds, Taz Arnold of TI$A, Pharrell of BBC/IceCream and Shepard Fairey of Obey. There are also a lot of street wear designers too.
