what made you want to get into making music? I always had a passion for music. It is what I remember before anything when I think of my childhood memories and having a family that came together when music was involved, drew me to it. As I grew up, however, I found my own secret bond with Hip Hop and it became like a part of my family, like a lover, like everything. And I started to utilize hip hop in every aspect of my life from education to my writing etc. And then one day about a year and three months ago, some kid that I know asked me if I wanted to be in a cypher. I didn't know if it was a good idea, but I did it anyway. And after that I hit the ground running. rapping my heart out. and its really helped me. The heart can take you places.

who are some artist you look up to? Nikki Giovanni, Kanye West, M.I.A., Lupe Fiasco, Jay-Z and a million more. My influence is drawn by so much including emotion, thoughts and feelings that artists that I look up to change everyday.

how do you feel about the women in hip hop right now? Women in Hip Hop is a vague topic cause you can speak about the female rappers, the twerk team, whatever. But as for it all women in hip hop are dealing with a transitional stage. As a female coming up in the game right now I see so many others like myself and I am happy to say if some of us can go beyond the threshold, Hip Hop will achieve the diversity that it had in the 90's. I can't wait.

where do you see yourself in 5 years? I see me in Madison Square Garden, pointing at my mom in a skybox, telling her "Momma I told you."

whats the message you send in your music? Be yourself. Tell your story. Be Brave. Make and break history.

whats your fashion inspirations? Sheesh, I have no clue. But I'm really influenced by London vintage couture, if that makes sense. But my style switches up everyday. Sometimes I just want to wear a fitted and a letterman, and sometimes I want to sequins, sequins and more sequins. But everything that I wear is usually vintage.
